Soccer Basics Step One classes are an entry-level introduction for boys and girls who are 4 or 5 years of age.
- There are a limited number of available spaces in these clinics. Early registration is recommended.
- In order to to ensure each child's first experience with soccer is a positive the ratio of students to instructors is low. Classes are designed to be busy and fun.
- Each monthly session is comprised of three 1 hour weekly classes.
This class is designed for children who have turned 4 and older. This class is not offered to younger kids, Soccer Basics Step One will not admit boys and girls who are 3 and younger.
Classes are held at Martin Luther King Jr middle school field on Hopkins st.

All classes are directed by British coach Bill O'Donnell of Liverpool, England.
Bill has over 20 years experience working with children from kindergarten to high school.

Step One clinics meet 3 times in a month on Saturdays 10:00-11:00.

Boys and girls starting as young as 5 are encouraged to sign up for one of the Mersey Soccer Club teams.
Club soccer is exciting. This is the next progression from Saturday clinics.
With the Mersey Soccer Club kids are placed on teams with the task of scoring goals against opponents with names like the Killer Bees and the Cyclones!
The Mersey Soccer Club is a member of the A.C.C youth soccer league.This league includes Clubs from Richmond , El Cerrito, Albany -Berkeley and San Pablo.
